Team Exos

I’ve had my eye on this particular gym for nearly 6 months. We did a story on Exos, located at SKLZ headquarters back in February when several college athletes were in town to prep for the NFL Combine. I was IMPRESSED!

Here’s the story that aired on San Diego 6:  http://www.sandiego6.com/news/local/Local-facility-training-college-students-football-NFL-290688391.html

I emailed them right away and asked if a regular gal with high hopes like me could sign up. One problem, I was in a walking boot at the time. I knew as soon as I could get out of that darn boot, I would be there every morning.

A week after I got cleared by my ortho doc to run, I joined a group of former Chargers players to get lean, strong, and healthy again. I’ve been there about 6 days total now and I can feel it throughout my bod. I love being sweaty every morning! I’m hoping the Versa sessions, high reps, quick steps, heavy weights, core work, and just plain new (and kinda wacky!) moves help me reach my goals.

I told our trainer that I want to be a Chargers girl and complete an Ironman so he’s going to get me there. In the meantime, I have signed up for America’s Finest City half marathon in August, the Ragnar Relay in August, and the Challenged Athletes Foundation triathlon in October.

Let’s do this!!

Oh, and they even have a delicious vanilla vegan protein shake ready for me after every morning workout. Told you, they are impressive!
