Letter to Lulus

Dear lovely lulus,

Thank you for making me look like I work out, even on days that I don’t. I love you for your strength and flexibility but also for your ability to make me looked “dressed up.” I would stay with you all day if I could and sometimes I do. I’m grateful to be alive during a time when you became a fashion statement.

Admiringly,

Neda

I am proud to announce my love affair with lululemon athletica because I know I am not alone. Just look around – every other leg is stamped with that feminine figurine in a tiny circle, variations of criss cross pastel tops or striped brights fill gyms, yoga, spin, and pilates classes. You will catch the most elegant of models sporting their capris while super cute, soccer moms wear them with pride. lululemon‘s have become a phenomenon that allows for women to feel comfort while sporting classy and sassy styles. Is it because they’re more expensive than most pants? I own dresses and work clothes that cost less combined than my lululemon outfits but I think that’s what helps add more value to them. If they were a dime a dozen, we wouldn’t feel as good wearing them to a girls brunch, would we? So before you complain about the price tag, just know it’s all a part of quantifying quality. Sometimes you have to save up for something really nice because the build-up and anticipation of really wanting something is just as fun as owning it. Don’t get me wrong, I can skip and dance over a $5 steal (see DIY Decor) but I can also appreciate the good quality items. It keeps my supply of “things” to a very nice-looking minimum. I’d rather have a few workout clothes that will last forever compared to a drawer full of torn leggings that just get in the way when I rummage for those gems.
